My name is Mitch Siemens and I was born in North Bay Ontario! I know! Not a great way to start a biography but give this one a chance! At 15 years old my father moved my sister and I out to Lethbridge AB so he could work the diamond mines up north. I was 16 years old when I got my first taste of money. I was hired on as a summer student for Frito-Lay and worked as a labourer on a production line. I saw the value this was having in my life and decided I would convince my boss to give me full-time employment.
Being so young, I had to ALSO commit to finishing my grade 12 so that the HR department would agree to bring me on. I’m sure you can probably guess how well a 16-year-old, unsupervised teenager, did at completing his schooling… you nailed it! I most definitely did not see the value in completing my education. I stayed there for a couple of years and then eventually, as I’m sure most of you would guess, things fell apart.
After some poor choices and a loss of a job, I was left with no education and nowhere to go. Obviously, I needed to figure something out! It wasn’t long after this that I started my career with Precision Drilling. This was amazing! There was so much to learn and so much room for advancement. I was honestly in heaven. This was exactly what my “inner energetic child” was looking for. This job was extremely tough but it taught me a lot of amazing things. Commitment and persistence being a couple of them. With that being said, after my first year of “rigging”, I went back and challenged my GED.
Things were starting to change. I remember sitting in one of the rig shacks and hearing one of my coworkers talking about rental properties. Although I was intrigued, I did not think that that was something I would ever be able to do. Come on, I had barely even achieved a high school equivalency. How could I possibly be able to take care of a rental unit? I did however see the value in owning a house so I did just that. I bought my first house at 21 and resided in it for what I thought would be forever. In 2014, the oilfield crashed. And at that time, so did my life. Or at least it felt like it did. I was 23 years old with a truck payment, a house payment, and all the other financial responsibilities to accompany those things with absolutely no income to provide for them. This was about to be the biggest change for me, and I had absolutely no idea.
I went back home to Lethbridge and searched for work. I had no income so I decided, “I might as well try to rent my house out if I’m going to lose it”. It wasn’t long after that I started my employment with Teck Coal. This was a job that had a 4 day on, 4 day off schedule. I started to read. I picked up my first book titled The Cash Quadrant, by Robert Kiyosaki. This changed the game for me. I sold my truck, reduced my living costs and paid off all my debt. By the following year, I bought my second rental property. Learning had become my new passion and investing seemed to be the product of it.
Everything in my life started to become routine. Gym, food, work, reading and finances. It didn’t seem to matter how busy I got, I would still pick something else up. This is when I started my real estate license. Its funny. I remember my father telling me when I was a teenager, “If someone, says something to you once, you may want to ignore it. But if you keep hearing the same thing, over and over again, maybe you should do something about it.” It seemed like everywhere I went people were telling me I needed to be selling homes and eventually enough was enough. I pulled the pin. I crushed the schooling and then immediately dove into the business.
Looking back, it’s kind of ironic how it all played out. I listened to a man talking about rental properties and thought, “I could never do that!”. Fast forward and I surrounded my whole life around it. Who would’ve thought?

Hey! I’m glad you’re here! Let me tell you a little bit about me. My name is Jenna Schmidt and I’m from Medicine Hat, AB. I started working in a hair salon the day after my 12th birthday. I had always loved the beauty industry and I had mentioned to my moms friend my interest and she hired me at her shop! I worked there until I was 18, completing my apprenticeship while in high school! I registered for hair school in the fall after I graduated, and before starting school I spent the summer working in Mexico as an entertainer at a resort! You know the people walking around the beach getting you to play beach volleyball and do all the activities?! Yeah that was me! Best summer job ever. (Also where I met the love of my life- but that’s a story for another time)
After completing hair school and getting my journeyman and red seal, I started managing the salon I was working at in Lethbridge, AB. I became internationally trained and an educator for some brands we were working with so I could help lead our team at the salon.
Hairstyling gave me such a flexible career that it allowed me to travel a bunch and while doing so, I became infatuated with all the different homes and decor around the world! It’s with my travels that I first started to fall in love with real estate. It then became my plan to do that once I couldn’t physically do hair anymore. However, after seeing how Mitch was killing it in real estate and listening to him tell me to get into it sooner than later every time we travelled together, he finally got through to me and I decided it was time!
I am so extremely grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and I know my years of experience in the service and entertainment industry is going to make me the best realtor for my clients.

Hi! My name is Jett. I moved to Calgary with my family from Libya in 2002. Although moving to Canada was quite a culture shock, I completely embraced the freedom and lifestyle of living in Canada. I completed my degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calgary. Upon graduation, I worked in the Oil and Gas industry for a few years. In 2014 the oil market crashed and in 2016 I was laid-off from my well-paying job.
While it seemed like the end of the world at the time, it spurred me to think of ways to not rely on large corporations for employment. One of my close friend’s parents were successful in real estate and after a sit down with them, I decided to get my real estate license.
I quickly realized that one of the best aspects of real estate is all the wonderful people I get to meet and interact with on a daily basis. I also realized that real estate allowed me to have the freedom from the mundane routine that was my engineering job. I felt like I had lost that sense of excitement after going through University and working in the Oil and Gas industry. Real estate has given me that excited feeling from when I first moved to Canada.
They say we should try to break from the mundane and do something that thrills and excites you. Real estate has done just that for me!

Hey! My name is Al, and I am from the small town of Riverview, New Brunswick. A real maritimer and people pleaser! After graduating from high school, I attended the local college where I studied carpentry. I took a few years building homes and decided I wanted a change, and like every other maritimer, I decided to move to Alberta for a year… that was in 2013.
I found myself working in construction and gradually worked towards becoming an expert in horizontal directional drilling. My expertise took me up to Northern Alberta to work on the pipeline, as well as on large-scale projects all over British Columbia, Manitoba, and back to Alberta. In the fall of 2019 I was in Winnipeg when I found out that the girl of my dreams was pregnant and having our daughter. We pulled together everything we had to set ourselves up for this new chapter, and welcomed Rylie Mae in April of 2020.
I had known for a long time that I wanted to explore the real estate industry, but it was when my daughter was born that I knew I wanted to follow my dreams and show her what I could accomplish for our family. After connecting with our team lead Mitch, I knew that I was ready to go all in on this new career venture. I truly care about finding the right home for all of my clients and will be sure to go all in for each and every one of you. Besides, when has a maritimer ever steered you wrong? I got you!

My name is Matt Cornelsen and I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and moved to Calgary in 2017. I have a beautiful wife named Kellie and 2 daughters Madison and Lauren.
I have been involved in Real Estate for over 15 years both on the investment side as well as the sales side, deals ranging from $60,000 to $8,000,000. Growing up I worked for the family construction business where I learned a lot about building, codes, best practices etc. This enabled me to dive into real estate investing and where I learned hands on what it takes to mange various sized projects and renovations. I have a passion for putting deals together and love to help people navigate the ins and outs of a Real Estate transaction.
In my spare time you will find me diving deep into Blockchain technology, decentralized applications, finance and Web3. Me and my family love to travel and have spent a lot of time down in Florida as well as other parts of the US. In winter I love to ski and spend time with friends and family as well as volunteer at our local church.
I am super pumped to serve my clients and build new relationships!

Why Calgary?
Born and raised in Canada. I have been blessed to have had the opportunities to live in multiples cities and experience the multitude of cultures in this beautiful country. In my opinion, nowhere else will you find friendlier people than Calgarians; who will give you a thank you wave simply for letting them into a driving lane. This is great city of people where it is not too big to remember the common courtesy of being a neighbor, and not too small and devoid of opportunities.
